What to Expect

Treatment
A small sample of your blood is taken and processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is then carefully injected into the treatment area or combined with microneedling. Treatment usually takes 45–60 minutes.
Comfort
Most patients find the treatment comfortable. Topical numbing cream can be applied to maximise comfort.
After Treatment
You may notice mild redness, swelling or tenderness, along with small injection marks or pinpoint bleeding if microneedling is performed. These effects usually settle within 24–48 hours. Mild bruising can occasionally occur.
Aftercare
Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, excessive heat, swimming and makeup for 24 hours. Aftercare instructions will be provided before you leave.
Return to Your Day
Most patients return to work a normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
